Photo diary #3. Ravishing and Ancient Nessebar // Упоительный и Древний Несебр
I know that I have already devoted enough time to chanting about the unusual, exotic and romantic vibe present in Bulgaria, especially in Pomorie city, but I can not help but share my impressions from the other place - one of the oldest cities in Europe - Nessebar.
If you remember how I had described Bulgaria in Photo diary #1 - Focusing a Glance on Bulgaria blog post or if you had been in different cities of this country (but hadn't been in Nessebar), I could introduce this peninsula to you as a mix of all those feelings that you experienced in one of the two above-mentioned situations enhanced at least three times.
Знаю, что я уже уделила достаточно времени воспеванию необычной атмосферности, экзотики и романточности Болгарии, в особенности города Поморие, но не могу не поделиться своими впечатлениями касательно другого места - одного из самых старых городов Европы - Несебра.
Если вы помните как я описывала Болгарию в посте Photo Diary #1-Сосредоточив Взгляд на Болгарии или если вы сами были в других городах этой страны (но не на Несебре) то этот полуостров я бы представила вам как микс всех тех чувств что вы испытали в одной из двух вышупомянутых ситуаций усиленный в три раза как минимум.
The diversity and multiplicity of religious places was the cause of adding Nessebar peninsula on UNESCO World Heritage List. Despite the fact that I'm not an enthusiast of places of religious cult and not a religious person in general, I have long been impressed by the architecture and way of life of ancient times and the Middle Ages. All of these intricate patterns, which preserved in very good condition, still undergoing excavations in some of the churches - definitely, this is what gives Nessebar that romantic character. Разнообразие и многочисленность религиозных мест это как раз причина внесения полуострова Несебр в список мирового культурного наследия ЮНЕСКО.
Несмотря на то что я не энтузиаст мест религиозного культа и не религиозный человек в общем, мне очень давно импонируют архитектура и быт античных времен и средневековья. Все эти замысловатые узоры сохранившиеся в очень даже хорошем состоянии, все еще ведущиеся раскопки в некорых из церквей - это определенно то что придает Несебру тот романтичный характер. И кстати о нем.
I don't know how attractive (and romantic) would seem to you long strolls in 32 degree Celsius heat being head-to-toe in sweat holding a camera and a bottle of ice-cold water, but I feel some kind of self-sacrifice in this discomfort with the purpose to see, remember and capture as much as possible.
In addition to the ruins of the ancient churches in Nessebar, a constant rush of peacefulness, joy and aesthetic pleasure is brought by all those narrow streets, that seem to be tangled in an endless labyrinth like the blood vessels in the human body. There're also shops with goods made from the Bulgarian Rose, spices, cafes, souvenir shops along the road.
Не знаю насколько привлекательными (и романтическими) покажутся вам прогулки в 32-градусную жару в поту с фотоаппаратом и бутылкой ледяной воды, но даже для меня в этом дискомфорте есть некое самопожертвование с целью увидеть, запомнить, запечатлеть как можно лучше и больше.
Кроме развалин древних церквей на Несебре, постоянный прилив спокоя, радости, эстетического удовольствия доставляют все те улочки, которые словно сосуды в теле человека спутаны в бесконечный лабиринт. По дороге - магазинчики с товарами из Болгарской Розы, специями, кафе, сувенирные лавки.
Столкновение камня с деревом в архитектуре домиков на Несебре- это изюминка, которая понравилась мне, наверное, больше всего.
However, I haven't managed to spend evening hours walking in this delightful place yet. Let it be a goal for my future trip to Bulgaria.
